Things I've Broken or Am Too Stupid to Fix That Deb Has Had to Save Me From This Week
- Motorcycle -- saddle bags are on, but we need longer screws for better support. Well, we all *need* a longer screw, but specifically, I need 4 for the saddlebags because ... well, just because (Read: I don't feel like explaining the boring details).
- Telescope -- it works great. Next, we get to polar align it and program the Autostar. Although, I think I may brave doing that myself.
- This Web site -- she installed MovableType. Not me. When Eric mentioned it involved the cgi-bin directory, my mind went numb.
- My Chemistry Homework -- In a mini-panic attack, I thought I lost all my data from 5 weeks worth of computerized problem sets. She came to my rescue and made a back-up of my disk.
- MS Outlook Email Client Don't ask me how I managed this one, but I broke it. Big time. (All I did was turn it on... honestly!) She had to reconfigure everything, which took a day or two.
More Things She's Going to Have to Save Me From This Week
- Regrouting the bathtub
- Moving the fish tank to a different room
- Drylocking the basement
- Painting the crown moulding and touching up some missed spots on the hallway doors. Yes, I can paint quite well -- but it requires initial sanding, which means using the palm sander, which falls under the category of "power tools I'm not allowed to use without supervision."
