Sometimes I even make myself nervous...
I took a diagnostic MCAT exam over the weekend, and got the results back yesterday. I did well enough that I am a lot less stressed about the actual exam … but now I am concerned that I actually might get into a school. And I’m not so sure that’s a wise idea. Heh heh.
After blowing up my experiment in lab last night (it was destroyed, er, sent flying across the lab, thanks to an unbalanced centrifuge – it actually was not my fault, but it still involved me) I was feeling less enthused about my future career in medicine. Then this morning, I took Elmo (the evil little kitty) to the vet. You would have thought they were trying to murder him, what with all the screaming, hissing and bloodletting. Specifically, mine. While the vet was trying to give him a booster in his ass, Elmo sunk his vampire-like canines into the closest thing he could reach – my thumb. (No, the other thumb, in case you’re keeping score.) The vet had just finished telling me that Elmo had an infection in his mouth, and now I’d need to see a doctor as soon as possible, or risk getting a serious case of blood poisoning or sepsis. So, now my doc has prescribed me an intensive course of antibiotics. I anticipate all the joys associated with intensive antibiotics will soon follow. (If you have to ask … don’t.)
The next time anyone asks me why I don’t want to study veterinary medicine – I will shove my infected thumb up his/her ass.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I hate cats. Whoever wrote the rule “lesbians must be cat owners” needs to have their mouth kicked wide open.
I hate cats too! Dogs and lesbians get along much better anyway!

My cats had the opposite reaction at the vet's. My "queen" used to try to bury her head under my arm. But the cute one was big tough Lester who, immediately after getting a shot, climbed up my chest with his front feet (rememering not to dig in with his claws) and looked in my eyes like he was pleading "Save me! Save me! Why aren't you protecting me??"
