Just got a call from the state trooper who was on the scene a week ago when I got hit. They caught the asshole who hit me. He's been charged with a few misdemeanors: hitting a car and leaving the scene (evading responsibility), driving a stolen vehicle, driving with a suspended license. The town police have also charged him -- I have to call them to get the rest.
Sounds like this guy was just oozing with charm and intelligence. We'll see how oozy he'll be after he speaks with my attorney, who I'll be calling momentarily... as soon as I stop tap-dancing and doing cartwheels around my office.
Did we get a name? Was he drunk or just stupid? And the other unasked question, which I won't ask?
