Last night my mother called me. She wanted to know if I had received the e-mail she sent me the night before. Just as I was about to go off on one of my typical tirades about her being a religious freak, she started laughing hysterically, and said, "Jesus called. He told me to send it to you." And then she started laughing like a nut case again and told me that I was an easy target and she only did it to ruffle my feathers.
Oh, she's really funny, my mother. A real pisser.
And she can't leave well enough alone. Oh no.. she has to continue to push my buttons. I came home from school tonight to 7 more Jesus e-mails from her.
Well, isn't Mother's Day in a few weeks? I think I'll be getting her one of these. And... I'll be putting it in her closet.
Two can play at that game ...

Not one for all-out confrontation she went home to her bead box and made herself a What Would Satan Do bracelet.
All her friends demanded their own. She obliged. I asked her if it was all right to wear such a thing at school. she replied, "If they try to stop me, I'll go for the freedom of religion angle. As a Satanist, of course."
I'm not sure how they work as talismans for passing the MCAT, but we're lighting candles for you over here. In our living room, that is.
