2 more exams down, and 1 to go. Then I'll be doing naked cartwheels around my backyard -- I'll be so happy.
I was so damn tired after my 2 exams last night, I wanted to go home and go to bed. But I went to my softball game, hoping to not have to play in the 50 degree drizzle.
Wrong.
One of our players had pulled a muscle, so I had to fill in for her. I haven't touched a bat since August, and was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. Not exactly how I like to dress for softball, but whatever. I'm at the point where I don't care what the hell I'm wearing anymore. People should be lucky I remember to dress at all in the morning.
I got up to bat, and took my glasses off, not wanting to drop them if I had to run. I actually got a nice hit, surprising myself. My next at bat, I opted to wear my glasses, and whiffed twice. An old friend/ex gf of mine was playing 3rd on the opposite team, and she started heckling me about my needing to wear reading glasses on the field. So, I yelled at her, took them off and clocked the ball again. Go figure. I can't see shit without them, but walk up to the plate with them on and I'm swinging before the pitcher even releases the ball. I guess there are some things I am better of doing blind.
I just hope surgery isn't one of them.
Went to the bar afterwards for a celebratory beer and wings, and just about fell asleep on the table with my face in my beer. I just finished my 3 cup of coffee and I still can't wake up. I think my neurons have officially stopped firing.
