I can't friggin believe it's raining again.
I was so happy when I awoke this morning to the sun beaming through my window blinds. Finally, I thought, my vegetables can get some much needed sunlight.
I pulled by motorcycle out of the shed, tightened my suspension, and had a beautiful ride into work along the beach.
I got to work, settled in, and then ventured over to Dunkin Donuts where Robyn bought me 24 oz of caffeine and sugar. She can be wonderful like that sometimes.
And then everything went downhill from there. Why? Because I made the mistake of looking at Intellicast.com.
Coming right towards CT was another massive storm -- a big, green, ominous looking blob on the radar screen. 2 hours later, instead of taking a leisurely ride on my lunch hour, I was forced to quickly ride home and trade my motorcycle for my boring but more-reliable-and-dry-in-the-rain Acura. The rain wasn't supposed to be here until this evening, but by the time I got home at 5.30, it had already started to drizzle.
For chrissakes, I am starting to grow mold. I cut my lawn on Friday night, and it was 9 feet high. Monkeys were swinging aimlessly through the blades of grass. At my softball game last night, walking across the outfield was akin to walking on a wet sponge.
Meanwhile... tonight I was supposed to be at the university doing research at 6pm, but my advisor was inadvertantly delayed, and I had to go back from 8.30-10.30. In the interim I decided to nap, and attempt to relieve the migraine that has been aggravating me for 3 days. The addition of a Dunkin Donuts coffee and coffee roll helped a little. But I still have it. Thanks to the weather.
And now I have found solace... lying in bed, blogging, and listening to the rain beat down on the roof... again.
Tomorrow looks promising. But looks can be deceiving.
bla, bla, bla, I will have to agree with you on the weather. But, then agian, I guess your softball game being played might be looked at by an outsider as a wet tee shirt contest for the . . . shall we say wet seated group
