Out with the old and...

Did a little site clean-up and tidying tonight. I'll be making more changes as I go along, as it's been quite a while since I've decorated the joint. I guess you can say I'm in the redecorating mood. All the tossing and shredding of old mail, bagging of old clothing for GoodWill, and sorting of junk to sell in our tag sale has triggered an obsessive-compulsive cleaning binge. Everything must go!

...in with the new.
Unless, of course, it's black, leather, or shiny. Speaking of which, I snagged 2 hot black leather couches for the new apartment today, which is a huge coup for me. For starters, I LOVE black leather -- it stirs my inner Austin Powers -- and we couldn't get it for the house because when we last bought furniture, my demonic cats still had claws. It also means I don't have to buy some cheap-ass Ikea sofabed.

I am also acquiring my sister and brother-in-law's kitchen table and will be ordering a nice new king size bed upon arival. New shiny cooking utensils and bathroom accessories are also forthcoming. Not to mention a plethora of stainless steel medical equipment.

I also set up my new laptop tonight: this one is shinier, sleeker, about 3lbs lighter, and a hell of a lot faster than the old one.

You know, by the time Aug. 1 rolls around, my new apartment should resemble a high-tech bondage cage. heh heh. (oh, who am I kidding...)
