Two nights ago, Deb and I installed our new webcams so we can chat online for free and see each other during our temporary bi-coastal separation while I am in school. I can't believe I wasn't an early adopter with this -- it is so much fun and way cool. We've been "practicing" video IMs from the basement and the office. I also discovered I can send video emails -- which gives me another outlet and means for torturing friends and family. I expect I'll also be shooting video from different aspects of my life as a med student and posting them here in this space, as well.

You would think that after spending 8 years in technology journalism I would have caught on to this a lot sooner. Then again, I only *just* got sattellite radio, and that was a gift.

Ahhh, my evil mind is running amock with sordid ideas on ways I can use this for sheer torture and entertainment. Stay tuned...
